We called the Microsoft’s 2025 Surface Laptop “a gorgeous laptop that is great for everyday and productivity tasks” – and it’s got a big discount for Black Friday and Cyber Monday

The Microsoft Surface Laptop has got a big discount for the Black Friday weekend, dropping $200 to $800 at Best Buy in the US, and now £879 at Currys in the UK.
We reviewed this laptop this year, and while we took issue with the Snapdrgon X Plus chip compared to the similarly sized and priced MacBook Air, we called it “a gorgeous laptop that is great for everyday and productivity tasks with some of the best battery life of any laptop of its size.”
US: Microsoft Surface Laptop 13in (2025) was $1000 now $800 at Best Buy
UK: Microsoft Surface Laptop 13in (2025) was £999 now £879 at Currys
HP’s budget office printer gets a nice discount for Black Friday weekend
The HP OfficeJet Pro 8135e (or HP OfficeJet Pro 8132e in the UK) is a budget inkjet printer well-specced for home office or small business use. It’s packed with useful features, including print, scan, copy, and fax.
It has HP Wolf Essential Security, it can do double-sided printing, has an automatic document feeder, and touchscreen display to print print-outs. It’s not the fastest (20 pages per minute in mono, 10 pages per minute in color), but for general printing with all the features most professionals need, this gets the job done.
US: HP OfficeJet Pro 8135e was $240 now $160 at Best Buy
UK: HP OfficeJet Pro 8132e was £130 now £80 at John Lewis
Possibly the best desk I’ve seen for shared workspaces
This standing desk from FlexiSpot is a really cool design for those sharing a workspace at home or in the office. The EH1 is a two-person standing desk. It features two separate height adjustable desktops with independent controls attached to a single, reinforced frame. When I found this in the Black Friday / Cyber Monday deals, I dropped everything to add this to the guide.
US: FlexiSpot two-person standing desk was $760 now $480 at FlexiSpot
UK: FlexiSpot two-person standing desk was £550 now £450 at FlexiSpot

Save on my top-rated business laptop (spoiler alert: it’s a ThinkPad)
I don’t think you can go wrong with a ThinkPad for business. I’ve used them for years and they’ve never let me down once. And, of course, the keyboard is easily the best on any laptop going thanks to the ergonomic keys, 1.5mm key depth travel, and that iconic red trackpoint. So, for that reason the T16 remains my top choice for professionals who need a reliable, durably built machine for office workloads.
It’s a 16in laptop with built-in privacy shutter, num-pad, and fingerprint scanner for extra security. There are lots of configurations to choose from, but here, I’ve selected the model with the AMD Ryzen AI 7 PRO 350 chip, 32GB RAM, and 1TB SSD storage.
US: ThinkPad T16 Gen 4 (AMD) was $1749 now $1539 at Lenovo
UK: ThinkPad T16 Gen 4 (AMD) was £1720 now £1315 at Lenovo
New computer desks added
In my latest updated, I’ve added some great new Black Friday deals on computer desks – the ones that aren’t height adjustable but offer plenty of storage for your home office gear.
For the price, my favorite has to be Seventable computer desk, which boasts five fabric drawers, a monitor shelf, and a built-in power strip. This one’s available in three sizes – 39in, 47in, and 55in (100cm, 120cm, 140cm). It comes in white or black.
US: Seventable computer desk was $105 now $75 at Amazon
UK: Seventable computer desk was £100 now £85
U-series and H-series processors – which is right for you?
Possibly the most useful home office accessory
This is possibly one of the best home office deals I’ve seen – just because it’s incredibly useful. These desk mats feature over 200 different keyboard shortcuts for Microsoft’s office software. So, you’ll always know what to press to stay productive.
I’m also seeing discounted desk mats that only show Excel shortcuts, including one for $8 at Amazon.com and £10 at Amazon.co.uk.
US: Raryine Excel, Word, and PowerPoint shortcuts desk mat was $10 now $8 at Amazon
UK: Bstot Excel, Word, PowerPoint shortcuts desk mat was £10 now £8 at Amazon
Yes, this is still my favorite Black Friday deal for business pro’s

Now, with the Black Friday sales officially here, I’ve updated my original article with some more e-ink tablet deals you may want to check out.

The ThinkCentre Neo Ultra Gen 1 from Lenovo is currently on clearance, with a $899 price-tag.
Sized like a Mac Studio, the Neo Ultra comes with an Intel Core i7-14700 processor, 32GB memory, 512GB SSD, and Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060 graphics card.
The Gen 2 editions are currently discounted on the Lenovo US and Lenovo UK websites.

Big discount on a cheaper version of the C7 office chair
FlexiSpot’s C7 delivers excellent value ergonomics for an office chair (it’s available in the Black Friday sales at FlexiSpot.com and FlexiSpot.co.uk).
But if that price is a bit steep, the FlexiSpot ErgoX is a superb alternative that’s just got a Black Friday discount.
Effectively, it’s the same office chair as the C7 with a different name and a few missing features. So, while you’ll get the same dynamic lumbar support, you’ll miss out on the 4D armrests (the ErgoX has 3D armrests instead). More interestingly, though, this model can be bought with a built-in footrest, there’s a Max version for bigger and taller users. There’s even an ErgoX Pro model that’s more expensive ($456 at Amazon.com and £290 at Amazon.co.uk) but features 5D lumbar support, 7D armrests, and a higher weight load limit.
US: FlexiSpot ErgoX was $400 now $230 at Amazon
UK: FlexiSpot ErgoX was £240 now £139 at Amazon
Save on storage for your home office
In my latest update, I’ve added a new section for office furniture – filing cabinets and storage.
I’m seeing loads of discounts on office storage, but one that stands out for the price is the Bohdk rolling file cart and printer stand. It’s cheap, has three metal mesh drawers, and a wooden top for stashing your home office printer. It’s available in black or white, too, to suit your workspace.
US: Bohdk 3-drawer file cart was $57 now $46 at Amazon
UK: Bohdk 3-drawer file cart was £50 now £43 at Amazon
Black Friday is officially here

Our resident 3D printing expert Alastair has reviewed over 50 of the best 3D printers (and when he’s not testing them out, he can be found creating 3D-printed prototypes and props in his workshop).
For Black Friday this year, he’s named his number one 3D printer deal, as well as his top budget picks and machines for businesses, crafters, schools, and creating miniatures. This is one round-up you won’t want to miss.

Black Friday arrives in the UK
FlexiSpot’s C7 Max office chair is the comfort pick for big and tall
It’s not secret the C7 office chair from FlexiSpot is one of my favorites. For an ergonomic seat with plenty of features, this one offers fantastic value for money. In the US, it’s on sale for $450 direct from FlexiSpot (was $720). You can also pre-order it in the UK at a discount price of £300 (RRP £400) for Black Friday.
The C7 Max is an upgrade on that chair for big and tall body types, with its wider seat, taller backrest, 300 – 350lb weight limit, and reinforced chassis. Core features, though, remain unchanged, with both the C7 an C7 Max featuring dynamic lumbar support and 4D armrests. It’s available in black or grey, with either a foam or mesh seat.
US: FlexiSpot C7 Max office chair was $720 now $450 at FlexiSpot
UK: FlexiSpot C7 Max office chair was £400 now £300 at FlexiSpot
Save $420 on HP’s 14-inch AI laptop
This is a big discount on HP’s 14-inch AI laptop, which gets a price cut down to $380 over on HP’s official site.
This model sports an Intel Core Ultra 5 225U chip, 8GB RAM, and 256GB SSD storage. Not the biggest or the best, but well-suited for general office tasks or study.
A similarly specced, but not identical 14in laptop is also on sale in the UK for £399 at HP (was £699).
HP 14 AI laptop was $800 now $380 at HP
Save on this mini rugged phone for the jobsite
My top-rated rugged phone for everyday carry in my best rugged phone guide is currently on sale for $298 at Amazon (and £230 at Amazon.co.uk).
Most rugged smartphones are impossibly large – partly down to the high battery capacity, and partly for durability. But the Ulefone Armor Mini 20 Pro bucks that trend, being slimmer and more streamlined, without stripping away functionality. In our review, this compact phone delivered great battery life and fast charging at an affordable price (and that was before the Black Friday discount).
US: Ulefone Armor Mini 20 Pro was $350 now $298 at Amazon
UK: Ulefone Armor Mini 20 Pro was £270 now £230 at Amazon
Bring extra comfort (and warmth) to your workspace
A recent addition to my cheap deals selection is the Snailax back massager for your office chair, which is now $49 at Amazon.com and £47 at Amazon.co.uk. Slightly different models depending on your country, but functionally the same. Alongside the massaging, it also features two heat levels.
US: Snailax back massager was $70 now £49 at Amazon
UK: Snailax back massager was £64 now £47 at Amazon
This is one mini PC deal you’ll want to swerve
I’ve seen some great computing deals on sale so far – check out my round-up of Black Friday mini PC deals and the top-performing 16 machines based on our tests for more.
But this $99 AMD Ryzen 3 mini PC is one TechRadar Pro‘s managing editor recommends swerving. Find out why (and which cheap deals are better picks) in his article Avoid this $99 mini PC for Black Friday – here are 4 better deals.

Standing desks – what’s the best height range to choose?
My favorite laptop for working from home is discounted right now
I’ve always been a ThinkPad fan – especially for business use. So, I’m delighted to see savings on the Lenovo T14s.
This slimline 14in laptop is the one I use for both professional and personal work, and it hasn’t let me down yet. The size makes it super-portable, and as you’d expect from a ThinkPad, the keyboard delivers an exceptional laptop typing experience.
Plenty of configurations to choose from here, and both Intel and AMD models get the Black Friday treatment. But I recommend getting one with an AMD processor, as it’s better for cooling these laptops in my experience.
US: Lenovo ThinkPad T14s Gen 6 (AMD) was $1229 now $1033 at Lenovo
UK: Lenovo ThinkPad T14s Gen 6 (AMD) was £1610now £1233 at Lenovo

Keep all your files organized with this Black Friday deal
This expandable file folder with 13 pockets is currently discounted on Amazon.co.uk, where’s down from £12 to just over £10.
What sets this one apart from other file folders is that it features studs to close, rather than a looped band. It’s also available in a wide range of colors.
This file folder is discounted in the UK – but in the US, it’s running at full price (as it’s a UK import). You can grab it for $35 at Amazon. If you don’t need the stud closers, then I’d opt for this accordion-style file folder for $7 at Amazon.com (was $8). In most respects, it’s the same, including the wide range of colors.
Arpan expandable file folder was £12 now £10 at Amazon.co.uk
T-minus one day – Black Friday officially starts tomorrow
One last deal for the day
One final deal before I head off (until tomorrow’s Black Friday deal-hunting begins all over again).
The Crucial X10 8TB SSD is currently on sale from Amazon, with a big discount for those looking for high-capacity storage. In our review, we found it a solid performer with a slightly ruggedness design, and a highly recommended pick for those with USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 ports (but one to avoid if you’re rocking USB4 or Thunderbolt).
US: Crucial X10 8TB was $443 now $385 at Amazon
UK: Crucial X10 8TB SSD was £520 now £467 at Amazon
Save 40% on a Microsoft 365 Family Plan this Black Friday
Newegg has an eye-catching Black Friday deal for Microsoft 365 right now. The Microsoft 365 Family 12-month subscription has a 40% discount for users in the US.
This plan gives up to six accounts access to Word, Excel, PowerPoint and more, as well as 6TB OneDrive cloud storage. Oh, and it includes some free antivirus software, too.
However, check out our PSA on why you might want to avoid buying Microsoft subscriptions from Amazon this year in our article here.
Microsoft 365 Family 12-month subscription was $145 now £87 at Newegg
Not even Amazon beats this deal on my number one office chair
Speaking of office chairs, there’s a big Sale of the Year going on from Branch, the company behind my top pick chair for professionals. I’ve rounded up all the Branch office chairs on sale right now, with links to our reviews, in this article here.
But the Verve remains the pick of the bunch for me. It’s my top-rated model in my guide to the best office chairs. It’s stylish, comfortable, ergonomic, all at an excellent price that’s even cheaper than it is over on Amazon. My only hope is that it goes on sale in the UK, too – currently the cheapest model is £928 on Amazon.co.uk.
Branch Verve Chair was $599 now $509 at Branch
Office chair buying advice – what to check and what to avoid
Seat depth and height: This is really important, as you’ll want to adjust how far back in your seat you sit for the right amount of support. While most are height adjustable, not all let you alter the depth of the seat. In terms of choosing one with the right height range, users between 4’11” and 6’5 should go for a chair between 17in and 21in; if you’re under 4’11”, choose one that goes below 16 inches; if you’re over 6’5″, check the seat height rises to 21in or over.
Probably the best planners around for work (and life)
My wife absolutely swears by Clever Fox’s selection of notebooks and planners – and there’s quite a range from budget planners to pocket planners to self-care planners to planners for teaching. More than I ever thought possible, if I’m honest.
Basically, if you want to get more organized at work (and life), Clever Fox has a planner or notebook for you. The paper quality is thick (at 120gsm, it’s the same as a Moleskine), and they come with extras like a back-pocket for notes, bookmark ribbons, and tabs depending on which one you choose. And they’re available in a massive range of colors, too.
I’m seeing loads of of them discounted for Black Friday and you can check out the full range at both Amazon.com and Amazon.co.uk.

Lenovo discounts the fastest Intel mini PC – and it’s quicker than both Apple’s M2 Ultra and the AMD Ryzen AI Max +
Lenovo’s mini PC range has reviewed very well by my team, but this one is particularly special – the ThinkCentre M90s Gen 6, a high-end workstation-grade Windows 11 Pro mini PC.
There are a few configurations available, which you can build on Lenovo’s site, but I’ve selected the model with the powerful Intel Core Ultra 9 285 CPU that’s faster than either the AMD Ryzen AI Max+ or the Apple M2 Ultra. It also sports 32GB RAM and 1TB SSD storage, integrated 13 TOPS NPU for AI tasks, and a good port selection with support for four 4K displays and an expansion slot for a dedicated GPU.
US: Lenovo ThinkCentre M90s Gen 6 was $1899 now $1329 at Lenovo
UK: Lenovo ThinkCentre M90s Gen 6 was £1389 now £1019 at Lenovo
Save on one of my favorite budget chairs for work and play
The Corsair TC100 Relaxed has long been one of my top-rated budget chairs for the home office. It’s a gaming chair, but the professional style in black makes it an ideal choice for work as much as play. I’ve included it in the round-up, but it’s worth an extra shout-out here.
In our review, we appreciated its level of comfort and considered design, and despite the low price-tag, it looks and feels looks as good as many higher-end chairs.
My advice would be to go for the fabric version over the leatherette (or fake leather) one, as it’ll be more breathable when working and play for extended periods of time.
US: Corsair TC100 Relaxed was $270 now $215 at Amazon
UK: Corsair TC100 Relaxed was £200 now £149 at Amazon
This $480 tower desktop is faster than Apple’s Mac mini M4 Pro – and that beast costs $1399
This is a must-buy for for professionals looking for a powerful tower desktop deal this Black Friday. The Abytespark Tower Business Desktop is just $480 at Amazon right now.
You can read our full thoughts in the post by clicking here – but in a nut-shell, thanks to the high-performance Intel Core i7-14650HX chip, it excels at multi-core workloads in a way not even Apple’s mini but mighty machine can.
Not one to be missed if you’re undertaking heavy workloads and multi-tasking.
Abytespark Tower Business Desktop was $600 now $480 at Amazon.com
Never miss a beat with Plaud’s AI voice recorders
Plaud’s AI voice recorders are on sale for Black Friday – and to my mind, they’re the ideal accessory for any professional.
Both the Note voice recorder and the ultra-compact NotePin scored high in our reviews (check them out here and here). And they’re more than your standard dictation machines, using AI to transcribe and summarize meetings.
US: Plaud Note was $159 now $128 at Amazon
UK: Plaud Note was £150 now £119 at Amazon
US: Plaud NotePin was $159 now $128 at Amazon
UK: Plaud NotePin was £149 now £119 at Amazon
Bring order to workplace chaos with this Bluetooth label maker
This might be one of my favorite home office gadgets I’ve found for Black Friday under $50 / £50.
The Nelko Bluetooth label maker has a great discount, and includes a roll of tape. But what I especially like is that it includes templates for customizing the various different labels. So, there’s a bit more going on than usual.
US: Nelko label maker was $40 now $17 at Amazon
UK: Nelko label maker was £24 now £15 at Amazon
Check out this compact L-shaped standing desk for under $150 / £150
I’ve been busy scouting for standing desks with a little something else, and this one caught my eye – a compact L-shaped design from Fezibo ideal for more compact workspaces where space is at a premium.
L-shaped models tend to be big in size and price, but not this one, measuring just 55x32in (140x80cm) with a cost well under $150 / £150. You can see more in my post by clicking here.
US: Fezibo compact L-shaped standing desk was $143 now $122 at Amazon
UK: Fezibo compact L-shaped standing desk was £130 now £110 at Amazon
Samsung’s internal SSD for workstations gets a big price cut
If you’re looking for a high-capacity internal SSD, this Black Friday deal on the Samsung 9100 Pro gets my vote.
This PCIe 5.0 SSD is designed for heavy workloads, it boasts 8TB storage and sequential read speeds of up to 14,800MB/s. Ideal for high-end computing, video editing, gaming, and AI workloads in desktop and upgradeable mobile workstations.
During our review, it delivered blazing-fast speeds that were the fastest we’d ever tested.
US: Samsung 9100 Pro 8TB was $1000 now $750 at Amazon
UK: Samsung 9100 Pro 8TB was £782 now £720 at Amazon
The Kindle Scribe and Remarkable 2 are two top e-ink digital notepads for those who need a lightweight digital journaling tool while working on the go. Both include a compatible pen, with the Remarkable offering deals on both the fabric and leather folio bundles too.
I’ve used both e-ink tablets and personally, I opted for the Remarkable 2. It’s the better of the two if your focus is on writing and marking-up documents and has a slightly better writing experience (it’s closer to writing on real paper). But I’m splitting hairs, really – there’s not a whole lot in it and the Scribe is notably cheaper. You can read our reviews for the Kindle Scribe and Remarkable 2 for more info.
The only thing I’ll say is, which ever you choose, you’ll definitely want a case for extra protection, especially for business travel. I’ve added links to Amazon below, but Remarkable is also running a wider Black Friday sale if you click here.
US: Remarkable 2 bundle with folio and pen was $569 now $499 at Amazon.com
UK: Remarkable 2 bundle with folio and pen was £549 now £499 at Amazon.co.uk
US: Kindle Scribe with pen was $400 now $280 at Amazon.com
UK: Kindle Scribe with pen was £380 now £260 at Amazon.co.uk
Grab a standing desk for less than $100 / £100
This is the cheapest standing desk I’d recommend getting right now – the Fezibo electric standing desk measures 48x24in (120x60cm) for well under $100 / £100.
My team’s had good experiences with Fezibo office furniture during testing. They’re stable, quiet in operation, and offer an excellent price (especially during Black Friday), making them my top budget pick overall. Other sizes and styles are also discounted in the sales.
US: Fezibo electric standing desk 48x24in was $79 now $68
UK: Fezibo electric standing desk 120x60cm was £90 now £72
Great price for Logitech’s full HD webcam
I’ve always liked Logitech’s range of budget peripherals – they’re not the finest in the world, but they always get the job done at a good price. And this Black Friday deal for the Logitech Brio 101 webcam is worth checking out.
It’s a 1080p webcam with a built-in privacy shutter and features auto-light balance. A 4K model with noise-canceling mic is also on sale from Amazon.com and Amazon.co.uk, but honestly, for standard office meetings and video calls, I’d opt for the Brio 101 (100 in the UK) at this price.
US: Logitech Brio 101 webcam was $40 now $25 at Amazon.com
UK: Logitech Brio 100 webcam was £45 now £26 at Amazon.co.uk
If you’re shipping out products, this is a deal for you
There’s a nice discount on the Munbyn RW403B inkless thermal printer over on Amazon. In our review, we awarded it 4.5 stars out of 5 and found it made seriously light work of printing shipping labels. No discount in the UK, but it’s already pretty cheap at £80 on Amazon.
Munbyn inkless thermal shipping label printer was $120 now $76 at Amazon.com
Price drop on Apple devices
UK price drop alert
The US already had great prices on Apple’s machines ahead of Black Friday – and finally, Britain has hit near parity, with the MacBook Air and Mac mini both dropping even further in price on Amazon.
Apple MacBook Air (M4) was £999 then £879 now £849 at Amazon.co.uk
Apple Mac mini (M4) was £599 then £529 now £499 at Amazon.co.uk
Moleskine notebooks now in the Black Friday sale
Let’s start the week with a nice, cheap home office deal – and to my mind, a true essential for professionals. The Moleskine notebook.
I was always dubious of those who championed these things – I mean, how good can a notebook really be. Then I bought one. And another one. And another one. Because yes, the hype is real. I find the thick paper extremely comfortable to write on, the line spacing is sublime, and there’s even a document holder in the back for loose notes.
Loads of sizes and styles on offer at the moment, but below are the cheapest ones I’ve seen so far.
US: Moleskine myrtle green classic ruled notebook was $20 now $16 at Amazon
UK: Moleskine sapphire blue classic ruled notebook was £21 now £12 at Amazon
High-capacity storage with low prices for business

But one in particular stands out to me for home office use: the Terramaster F4-425 4-Bay NAS device, which supports up to 30TB storage across its four bays, for a total of 120TB.
This model comes with an Intel x86 quad-core processor, 4GB RAM, and has a 2.5GbE port for quick file transfers. If you’re in a share workspace, it’s worth pointing out that this NAS device also allows multiple users at the same time.
US: Terramaster F4-425 4-Bay was $370 now $296 at Amazon.com
UK: Terramaster F4-425 4-Bay was £370 now £296 at Amazon.co.uk

Big savings on Dell and Lenovo business laptops
Some big savings on business laptops going on right now, with both Dell and Lenovo running promotions. In my experience, you can’t go wrong with a ThinkPad (I’ve used them for years and love them, especially that keyboard), but the XPS and new Premium range from Dell have proved exceptional for performance in our tests.

The Black Friday home office deals are now live
It’s finally here – sort of. While Black Friday doesn’t officially begin until next week, I’ve found loads of deals on home office essentials like desks, chairs, printers, laptops, mini PCs, and stationery all discounted right now.
In the US, Amazon, Best Buy, and Walmart have all launched early Black Friday sales. In the UK, I’m seeing Amazon, Argos, Currys, and Very also releasing early deals.
From now until the end of Cyber Monday, I’ll be here bringing you all the latest in Black Friday deals for your home office upgrade live and (mostly) uncensored.
