High Point, N.C. – Armen Living has acquired Uwharrie Chair Company, a North Carolina–based outdoor furniture manufacturer known for handcrafted designs. The company name is derived from the nearby Uwharrie National Forest and River. Under the new ownership, Uwharrie Chair Company will continue operations with its full team and existing leadership in place to ensure uninterrupted production and order fulfillment.
“We are excited to share the news of our purchase of the Uwharrie Chair Company, and to grow the Armen Living family by joining forces with their team,” said Kevin Kevonian, owner, president, and CEO of Armen Living. “This change in ownership will unlock limitless possibilities in design and add significant fuel to the future growth of their company. Providing new resources to their business, and expanding their customer base, which will preserve the company’s legacy of manufacturing beautifully made outdoor furniture that resonates with trade buyers and designers all across the country.”
Kevonian said that initial discussions between the two companies began during High Point Market, where both family-owned businesses recognized shared values around craftsmanship and product quality.
Armen Living will present Uwharrie Chair Company collections at the Atlanta Winter Market from January 12–19, 2026, in its AmericasMart showroom (Bldg 1, Floor 6, A-2), followed by a showing at the Las Vegas Market from January 25–29, 2026, at the World Market Center (Bldg B, Floor 7, Space B762).
National Sales Manager Reb Nicholson stated, “We are excited to begin showcasing Uwharrie’s beautiful benchmade outdoor furniture at our upcoming Winter Markets, where we invite our existing retail customers, designers, and trade buyers to explore their collections alongside Armen Living’s award-winning outdoor furniture.”
To mark the acquisition, Armen Living will host a Cozy Winter Social during the Atlanta Market on January 13–14, 2026. The event will feature morning and afternoon hospitality hours with complimentary refreshments, showroom tours, and opportunities for buyers to view Armen Living’s new introductions and Uwharrie’s outdoor designs.
“We can’t wait to host our design community at Atlanta Market and to show off our newest designs. Armen Living will showcase 50 new casual outdoor products for Winter 2026, and we will incorporate the soft launch for our new Uwharrie Chair line,” said Holly Lightfoot, Director of Product Development and Showrooms at Armen Living. “The excitement of adding Uwharrie Chair to our existing customer base is palpable. Our in-house design and sales team has begun communicating with many of our Top 100 Retailer and Ecommerce accounts, who want to see and try Uwharrie’s outdoor designs. Their capabilities is a white space, with endless possibilities for what the future of product development and design looks like at Uwharrie Chair. Combining our development and sales strategies with their domestic manufacturing and benchmade quality, we will entice new customers, for both residential and hospitality industries.”
Uwharrie Chair Company’s products are made to order in North Carolina and can be customized to client specifications. Each piece is crafted from kiln-dried, pressure-treated southern yellow pine or polymer materials and finished for durability in outdoor settings.

The acquisition was finalized on December 19, 2025. Armen Living will integrate support for Uwharrie’s customer service and account management into its Valencia, California, headquarters while maintaining Uwharrie’s manufacturing operations in North Carolina. All existing employees will remain with the company, and Erica Lloyd will continue in her role to oversee the transition.
“Through the merging of our two iconic brands, we will ensure future success and business growth for each company with exciting new collections coming soon,” Kevonian added. “Uwharrie will operate as a separate brand from Armen Living, including a separate website, and will continue to be positioned as premium, American-made custom outdoor furniture.”
Armen Living’s upcoming market schedule includes Atlanta Market (January 13–19, 2026), Las Vegas Market (January 25–29, 2026), and High Point Market (April 25–28 and October 17–21, 2026).
